Captain Phil Glenn

Captain of Eureka Fishing

Captain Phil Glenn's career began as a boy. When he was 10 years old, he worked for his father on his salmon troller out of Bodega Bay, California. His passion for the ocean grew over the years, and as a young man he owned and operated six commercial fishing boats up to 61 feet that were involved in salmon, tuna, crab, rockfish, and trawl fisheries.

In 1986, Captain Phil started a Sport Fishing Business with his 50 foot boat The Celtic and operated it for 18 years. In 2003 he bought the Shellback and ran the boat for 10 years before selling the business to Tony.

Phil is a US Coast Guard Licensed 100-Ton Master, and is a United States Navy Veteran in addition to being the most experienced Sport Fishing Captain on the North Coast. While Phil is semi retired at this point, he still runs the Shellback on special occasions and a day on the water with him is an opportunity to fish with a legend.
